About This Opportunity

* Maintain effective classroom management practices consistent with the School's Behaviour Management Policy.
* Assess, monitor, and provide timely feedback on student learning and progress.
* Maintain professional standards as defined by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Actively support student wellbeing and pastoral care in the classroom and across the wider school community.
* Adhere to and uphold the School's Code of Conduct, as outlined in the Code of Conduct for Anglican Schools and Education & Care Services.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine willingness to engage, connect, and care for students, supporting them to achieve their academic potential while growing in confidence, character, and faith. For more information about this role, please view the Teacher Position Description.

Qualifications and Experience

* Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
* Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice, and engagement.
* Experience teaching Food and Textiles Technologies and/or Hospitality in a Secondary School in Australia.
* Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum (Technologies - Design & Technologies, Food Specialisations, and Materials & Technologies specialisations) and VET frameworks.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to engaging positively with colleagues, students, parents, and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students.
* Ability to foster creativity, practical skill development, and safe work practices in food, textiles, and hospitality learning environments.
* Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the Anglican ethos of the School.
