Environmental Stewardship Role
This role is a critical part of our team dedicated to preserving and protecting the natural environment.
As a Senior Field Officer, you will be responsible for supervising field officers and contractors to implement works and maintenance programs. This will involve working closely with the Team Leader Field Operations to enhance and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of our parks.
The successful candidate will have experience in the maintenance and construction of general facilities and grounds. They will also have demonstrated skills and experience in fire management, pest animal and plant control, and administrative and organisational skills. Additionally, they will require a high level of physical fitness and be able to plan works, operate independently, and maintain relationships with field staff, contractors, and the broader Area team.
Key requirements for this role include a current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent, MR Drivers Licence, and the ability to drive 4wd vehicles. A Senior First Aid Certificate and certification to operate chainsaw to at least cross-cut level are also essential.
