About the Opportunity
The Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Worker will carry out general building repairs and routine maintenance across Garaworra Transitional Accommodation sites, ensuring facilities, communal areas, and outdoor grounds remain safe, functional, and well‐presented.
You will maintain lawns, shrubs, and gardens; keep outdoor areas clean; and manage the movement of furnishings, whitegoods, and equipment as needed. You'll also oversee the lending and safe use of household tools and gardening equipment, maintain accurate maintenance records, coordinate with contractors, and work collaboratively with the GTASS team to support a high‐quality, culturally safe environment for residents.

You'll also bring
* Experience in groundskeeping, building maintenance, or general repairs.
* Strong practical skills and the ability to work safely and independently.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with residents, contractors, and staff.
* Solid organisational skills – you can juggle tasks, manage time, and keep good records.
* Proven experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, staff and Aboriginal Controlled Organisations.
