We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bank Manager to lead the successful launch of our new Mackay branch. This role will commence ahead of opening to allow time for onboarding, training, and involvement in establishing the branch's operational foundations and team environment.

About the Role
This position blends leadership, business development, and lending expertise. You will guide the performance and culture of the branch, coach and develop frontline staff, and drive sustainable growth across lending, deposits, and customer membership in the region. Acting as our local representative, you'll balance operational leadership with relationship building and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to deliver confident service and referral outcomes
* Drive branch sales performance and achievement of lending, deposit, and growth targets
* Grow the regional portfolio through proactive lending and network development
* Support staff knowledge growth across products, systems, and customer engagement
* Build community relationships that strengthen market presence
* Ensure operational compliance and strong customer experience standards
About You
We're looking for a motivated and community-minded leader who thrives on building relationships, developing people, and driving results. You'll be commercially aware, customer focused, and energised by the opportunity to grow a new regional presence while leading from the front.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Minimum of three (3) years mortgage lending experience
* Demonstrated leadership or management experience
* Proven ability to achieve sales and service targets
* Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
* ASIC Tier II Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and IT or communications systems
* Preferred: Experience working in a financial institution with sound banking product and service knowledge
* Preferred: Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
