About the Centre: Harvey community Play and Learning Centre (HCPLC) is a small not for profit Centre, run by a dedicated volunteer committee.
Currently licensed for 18 children, we are committed to providing high quality education and care with a strong connection to families and community.
About the role: Harvey Community Play and Learning Centre is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated person suited to working a hybrid role of Director and Educational Leader, someone who has strong leadership skills and knowledge to guide the team towards high quality education and care.
As the director you will responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
We are looking for someone who is flexible to adapt to the day-to-day requirements, someone who can mentor staff and is child focused.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and management to educators and staff regarding all aspects of the operation of the service in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
Liaise closely with and provide periodical reports to the Management Committee/ Approved Provider
Support educators and staff with professional training and mentoring to effectively manage the service, whilst providing feedback regarding performance on a regular basis
Liaise with ECT to develop, implement and reflect on a high quality program based on service values and philosophy
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators and staff to deliver the best outcomes for families and children
Inspire and mentor educators regarding the implementation of service pedagogy/program to ensure compliance of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, National Quality standard and approved learning frameworks EYLF V2.0 and MTOP V2.0
In consultation with the Management committee, plan and write grant applications for funding and expansion of the Centre
Qualifications
Approved Early Childhood Education and care Diploma qualification or higher (as per ACECQA requirements)
Proven experience in a leadership or Director role within early childhood education
Sound knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF, and WA regulatory requirements
Current Working With Children Check (WA)
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management certificates
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
