The Role 
The suitable applicants should believe that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. You will ideally maintain high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, employ a variety of pedagogical approaches, and establish a positive and engaging classroom-learning environment. An excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum for Mathematics, including both general and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses, and the ability to deliver content in an engaging and meaningful way are highly desirable. Applicants with experience in teaching ATAR Mathematics courses and those who can extend student learning into real-world and authentic applications are strongly encouraged to apply.
Suitable applicants will have the opportunity to work across Years 7 to 12, bringing their expertise to the Mathematics Learning Area and contributing to curriculum development and student engagement. Ideal applicants are student-focused, highly motivated, and innovative. Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work collaboratively within a large, dynamic Learning Area team. Strong classroom management skills, the ability to build rapport and motivate students, differentiate the curriculum for diverse learning needs, and employ a range of high-impact teaching strategies are highly desirable.
Applicants should also display the ability and initiative to collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching strategies, resources, and approaches that enable each student to reach their full potential.
