We are excited to be looking for an enthusiastic QA Supervisor to join our dynamic team at our busy Yatala Manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of our policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of our award‑winning manufactured products.
Key Responsibilities
* Resource Management – Supervise and direct a team of quality assurance technicians who enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and other quality‑related policies to meet product quality standards.
* Implementing and Maintaining Manufacturing Standards – Review production batch records for compliance, audit quality control, test finished products and raw materials, and fulfill required duties to meet product quality standards.
* Oversee and maintain continuous process improvements – Investigate and correct quality‑related issues, recommend solutions to improve quality and work efficiency, participate in all regulatory, third‑party and customer audits and inspections, and respond to corrective action.
* Quality & Food Safety Systems – Maintain SQF program, HACCP plans and site QMS in an audit‑ready state, including documentation, verification and ongoing system improvements.
* Contractor Management – Oversee contractor activities related to quality, ensuring compliance with site standards, safety expectations and procedural requirements.
* Hygiene Management – Support and monitor site hygiene programs, including sanitation verification, environmental monitoring and continuous improvement of hygiene standards.
Key Requirements
* Proven ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with other department managers and supervisory personnel to meet and maintain product quality, identify, solve and prevent problems affecting product quality, maximize productivity, and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Provide QA team members with training, guidance and leadership in relation to good manufacturing practices, good laboratory practices and good documentation practices.
* Proven experience with Quality Management Systems, HACCP and Food Safety Programs within a Food Manufacturing Environment (essential).
* Tertiary qualification in food science, related agricultural science or relevant industry experience and training (e.g., HACCP).
