* Permanent Full-Time, Part-time or Casual Job Opportunities Available – up to 35 hours per week
* Attractive weekly salary ranging from $1,493.80 up to $1, permanent work). Casuals receive $53.35 up to $61.35 per hour (Including 25% leave loading).
* PLUS retention payments under the Local Government Splinter Award – extra money paid on top of your base salary to reward your ongoing contribution to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector
* 12% Superannuation Contribution.

At Moree Plains Shire Council, we are looking for a forward-thinking, creative, and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join the team at Mungindi Day Care and Preschool. If you are an approachable leader dedicated to high-quality education and building constructive partnerships with families and the community, we want to hear from you.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Children Services, you will lead the provision of early childhood education and care, serving as a role model and specialist resource for all workers and families. This role is essential for creating a supportive learning environment and ensuring all children's needs are met in line with industry regulations and frameworks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Leading high-quality care in accordance with the National Quality Standard and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
* Creating and implementing the preschool programme, using play-based learning and intentional teaching strategies.
* Evaluating and planning programmes to reflect children's emerging skills and incorporating contemporary, research-based practices.
* Mentoring and supporting educators through observations and recommendations for professional development in curriculum practices.
* Building strong rapport with families, acting as a resource for guidance on childcare industry practices and inclusion.
* Maintaining health and safety practices, including supervising children, administering first aid, and monitoring dietary requirements.
* Promoting record-keeping excellence for child development, assessments, and critical reflection to inform future planning.
* Advocating for child protection as a mandated reporter to safeguard the rights and well-being of all children.

About You

You are an emotionally intelligent and resilient professional with exceptional communication and advocacy skills. You have a proven ability to work as part of a team and can manage sensitive information with a high standard of confidentiality.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

* Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (or equivalent) with experience working with children aged 8 weeks to 5 years.
* Requirement to meet standards to become a 'Responsible Person' of a Centre-based Children's Service.
* Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant Child Safety acts and regulations.
* Proven ability to develop creative and stimulating programmes tailored to varied learning needs.
* Developed organisational skills to evaluate children's development and maintain accurate records.

Required Tickets, Licences and/or Qualifications:

* Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management).
* Current Class C Drivers Licence.
* Ability to provide evidence of immunisation for Whooping Cough, MMR, Chickenpox, and Hepatitis A and B.

Desirable Criteria

* Previous experience in planning and running a preschool programme.
* Qualifications in Leadership and Management or equivalent.
* Previous Local Government experience.

Required Clearances and Checks:

* Working with Children Check (NSW).
* National Criminal History Check.
* Pre-employment medical, which may include drug and alcohol testing.
