About the Role
At Maaken, we don't just build structures—we build careers. As an AAC (Hebel) Installer, you'll be right at the heart of the action, assembling innovative AAC wall and floor systems for a wide range of residential and commercial projects. You'll work alongside a passionate crew, sharpen your skills, and help us set the standard for quality and reliability across Queensland.
What You'll Do
* Own the Build: Interpret architectural plans, install batons, and fit AAC panels for walls, floors, and more—always with precision and pride.
* Prep Like a Pro: Get sites ready, double-check measurements, and make sure every surface is level before you start.
* Cut, Fit, Finish: Shape and install AAC panels, apply adhesives and sealants, and ensure every detail is spot-on.
* Champion Safety: Follow all safety protocols and building standards—your safety (and your mates') comes first.
* Go Digital: Use Maaken's cutting-edge digital tools to track progress, report issues, and keep projects moving smoothly.
* Stay Sharp: Take part in ongoing training sessions to keep your skills on point and stay ahead of the game.
* Team Up: Work closely with supervisors and other trades to deliver projects on time, every time.
* Keep It Clean: Always wear your PPE and maintain a tidy, organised site
* Install AAC on a range of different sites and projects from residential to commercial, townhouses to lowsets, firewalls to architectural masterpieces
What We're Looking For
* Experience with AAC or similar systems is great—but not essential. If you've got a background in construction or masonry, we'll train you up
* A carpenter, bricklayer, plasterer or general labour is ideal experience for this role.
* Handy with tools and can read building plans? Even better.
* Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are a must.
* Safety-first mindset with a solid understanding of building standards.
* Team player with strong communication skills.
* Comfortable using digital tools for job tracking and reporting.
* Eager to learn and ready for new challenges.
* Own hand tools required.
Who You'll Work With
You'll report directly to the site supervisor and work on Maaken's projects across South East Queensland. Occasionally, you'll help with off-site prep or take part in specialised training.
