The Opportunity
The Property Team work with the WoAG appointed Property Services Provider (PSP) to deliver effective property and facilities management services nationally. On a strategic level, the role of the Property Team is to ensure the provision of a safe, secure and enjoyable workspace environment for all staff, visitors and third parties that visit any offices across the national network.
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team with a positive culture, led by an experienced manager. The organisation also offers flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance with 3 days in office, 2 days WFH.
The Role
This role will provide onsite support to a broad range of administrative functions within the Property Team with a key focus on the provision and coordination of property and facilities services nationally.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Act as the State based contact and coordinator for nationally provided property services with a focus on property and facilities, including analysis of workspace utilisation, management of seating arrangements (block and stack), security pass management, office maintenance and repairs and emergency management
* Manage property and corporate support related procurement contracts in compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Commission procurement policies and processes
* Work closely with the Commission’s outsourced Property Services Provider (PSP) to ensure the provision of efficient and timely property and facilities services nationally
* Provide local site support for the provision of corporate services, including stationery, mail services, travel bookings and CabCharge and on-site assistance to other corporate support teams, including Finance, Procurement, People & Culture and ICT teams
* Provide support to the Assistant Director and Director, Property, including, supporting the delivery of capital accommodation projects, minor capital works, lease management, reporting and other projects and tasks, as required
* Operational management of a team of Property Officers nationally (APS6 only)
The Ideal Person
* A minimum of three years (5 + years at the APS6 level) demonstrated experience in operational property and facilities management within a government organisation (preferable), or in large scale facilities management (Commonwealth PSP)
* Ability to work with broad supervision and to identify priorities to meet competing deadlines
* Demonstrated effective written communication skills
* Ability to communicate with influence and work collaboratively and in partnership to resolve complex issues
Applicants MUST be Australian Citizens with an existing Baseline security clearance to be considered for this opportunity.
Salary / Rate
* $89k – $112k + 15.4% Super
* 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
* 6–12-month non-ongoing contract with extension options
* Surry Hills location
