The Molecular Haematology laboratory is part of the Discipline of Genomics and is located within the Pathology Queensland Haematology Laboratory at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
It provides statewide diagnostic genomics services specialising in diagnostic and measurable residual disease testing molecular haematology.
We are excited to offer this permanent fulltime role to the best suited applicant.
To be successful you will have the experience and passion to apply high level scientific molecular knowledge and skills at a level of competency commensurate with clinical experience in the provision of quality laboratory services in Molecular Haematology.
Key competencies (role specific criteria): You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated relevant knowledge, skill and expertise, at a minimum, obtained through tertiary education, but increasing commensurate with experience.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently prioritize specimens, perform relevant methods and tests accurately and competently without direct supervision, developing the ability to undertake more complex tasks with clinical experience.
Demonstrated capability to work towards the logical solution of scientific and technical problems.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, under the direction of more senior staff, producing an effective work output and quality.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, client focus and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and clinical staff.
Demonstrated commitment to the provision of a client-focussed and cost-effective laboratory service.
Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to comply with organisational policies and procedures, and assist the laboratory to comply with all relevant legislative, administrative, and professional standards including meeting NATA / ISO / TGA accreditation / certification requirements.
