We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and support secure, high-assurance infrastructure environments supporting operational data platforms. The role involves end-to-end ownership of Linux-first infrastructure across physical, virtual, network, storage, and cloud layers, with a strong focus on automation, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deploy, configure, and support infrastructure solutions ensuring secure and reliable data ingestion.
* Design and manage infrastructure across Linux, Windows Server, virtualisation, networking, and storage.
* Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible and Git/GitLab, including CI/CD practices.
* Provide technical guidance to vendors and mentor team members on automation and secure operations.
* Produce high-quality documentation and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu) system administration and hardening; Windows Server experience desirable.
* Hands-on expertise with Ansible, Git/GitLab, scripting (Bash/PowerShell), and automation-first practices.
* Proven experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, enterprise storage, backup solutions, and Cisco networking.
* Solid understanding of secure system design, monitoring, logging, backup, and operational runbooks.
* Experience working in high-security or regulated environments is highly desirable.
