PRODUCT ASSEMBLY (BRISBANE)

Brief:

We require a full-time, highly organised Product Assembly person to prepare and assemble earthmoving attachments. We are looking for an “All Rounder” who has experience in Heavy engineering, can read drawings, ensure product quality and specifications are met, think for themselves and just get the job done.

The Role:

Based in our Wacol workshop in Brisbane, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling components into completed, quality earthmoving attachments, including preparing components ready for welding, fabrication of profile parts using MIG weld, painting, and packing competed products.

You will ideally have experience in an engineering production environment and a basic knowledge of hydraulics along with experience in welding.

This is an opportunity to join a small but rapidly developing company focused on quality systems and quality control of output. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

* Assembly of components into a completed, quality earthmoving attachment

* Interpret engineering drawing and specifications to manufacture components.

* Preparing, priming, painting of fabricated items to a consistent high standard, ready for packaging and dispatch

* Prioritise daily workload and tasks as detailed on the work schedule provided by the Manager.

* Ensure all work complies to and produces a consistent quality of product through implementing quality system procedures and quality control of output.

* Complete and document QA on all product

* Delivery of all product in full, on time and in specification.

* Adherence to Production Schedule

* Able to work independently to close tolerances and within time constraints.

* Catalogue or label items with storage details

* Place product in allocated area (in bins, on racks, or other)

* Keep up to date records on location and quantity of items in stock

* Complete monthly stocktake (count and record the number of items in warehouse)

* Move heavy packages using forklift machinery

* Keep the work area neat and tidy

* Work to and achieve all KPI’s

Desired competencies, personal skills and experience:

* Strong assembly skills and understanding of mechanics

* Basic hydraulic understanding

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Good written, verbal and client facing communication skills

* Able to cope with the physical demands of the job

* Good memory and organisational skills

* Agile, responsive and good under pressure

* A team orientated individual who is consistent in nature, and focused on outcomes

* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

* Proven ability to be able to work effectively on their own

* A good work ethic and a “get on with it” attitude

* Absolutely trustworthy and dependable
