About this role

WHSE Business Partner

At CSR, we're building a better future together.

We are a team of 2,600 people across Australia and New Zealand, collaborating daily towards our shared purpose - 'Building solutions for a better future'. As a leading Australian manufacturing business, we develop innovative, sustainable, and high-performing building products and systems.

At CSR, we prioritize our people. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, supportive, and inclusive working environment where everyone feels valued, can grow, and thrive. We provide equal opportunities for all, welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, experiences, abilities, and life stages.

Help lead our cultural shift in health, safety, and environment – and drive meaningful change where it counts.

We take pride in manufacturing some of Australia's most trusted building products. Our PGH Bricks & Pavers division is central to that legacy, with sites across NSW and QLD. We are on a journey to significantly uplift our WHSE standards – reducing risk, strengthening culture, and embedding smarter systems.

We are now seeking a WHSE Business Partner to support this effort across our key NSW manufacturing sites and two sites in Brisbane, QLD.

About the role

This position goes beyond compliance; it is a true business partnering role where you'll guide frontline leaders, drive accountability, and support our cultural and operational WHSE transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

* Deliver proactive WHSE coaching and capability-building across operational teams
* Support critical risk reduction initiatives, especially around machinery safety, Chain of Responsibility, & Respirable Crystalline Silica
* Conduct thorough incident investigations and support preventative action planning
* Assist in implementing and embedding our onboarding framework to reduce injuries among new hires
* Ensure compliance with CSR's SH&E Management System and legislative requirements
* Collaborate with line managers, HSRs, and site leaders to promote visible safety leadership

About you

You are an engaging, confident communicator who can influence, coach, and lead change—not just enforce policy. You are curious, not judgmental. You listen first, guide with insight, and partner with the business to achieve lasting outcomes.

Ideally, you bring:

* Proven HSE experience in high-risk environments (manufacturing, logistics preferred)
* Strong experience with machinery safety, risk assessments, and health & hygiene monitoring
* Practical investigation skills and a systems-savvy mindset (we value agile thinkers)
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills—from the shop floor to leadership
* Qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree)
* Cert IV in Training & Assessment and/or Return-to-Work Coordination (highly regarded)

What's in it for you

We support your professional and personal growth. Here are some perks you'll enjoy as part of the CSR team:

* Career development in a dynamic and supportive environment
* Competitive salary and benefits, including access to exclusive discounts, offers, and eligibility for STI bonus scheme
* A supportive, collaborative culture that fosters innovation and inclusion. You'll work alongside talented colleagues passionate about their roles and committed to mutual success.
* Wellbeing benefits, including up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, 52 weeks of superannuation contributions, and access to an employee assistance program
* Rewarding career with on-the-job learning, development, and upskilling opportunities within and across our brands
