About the role
The Orchard Supervisor reports directly to the Orchard Manager and supports the overall supervision of staff and daily farming operations. A key focus of this role is ensuring adherence to WH&S practices. This is a hands‑on position that involves active field work and engagement as well as administrative duties when required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Supervising and training staff and contractors with an emphasis on ensuring:
o Set work schedules are met within budget and company guidelines
o Compliance with all aspects of WH&S and quality
o Efficiency targets are being met
o Operational procedures are being adhered to
o Inductions are completed and being adhered to
* Hands on participation in day-to-day farming operations including field work and practical tasks
* Deliver toolbox talks to staff as required
* Monitor irrigation and oversee the irrigation schedule / assist as required in conjunction with the Orchard Manager and irrigation staff
* Maintain accurate farming records and assist with administrative duties including but not limited to irrigation records, spray diaries, and ag world
Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 5 years' experience working on a large-scale Orchard or Station
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar supervisory role in the horticultural industry
* A valid driver's licence
* Willingness to participate in any relevant training courses required
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to foster relationships
* Ability to work shift work, weekends and be on call during peak seasons

What You Should Know About Our Operations
Our business is widespread, growing walnuts and almonds in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados, and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland. In addition to fruit and nut growing, we also operate apiaries located in Temora, Nowra and Dubbo.
Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
