Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional patient service by preparing nutritious food in a timely manner, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, disposing of unused food appropriately, and ordering food supplies.
* Demonstrate cost effectiveness by using produce efficiently and managing waste.
* Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a positive culture, supervising kitchen staff, and liaising with dietitians and other staff.
* Work according to Healthscope's policies, code of conduct, and participate in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education.
* Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
* Support Healthscope's safety and quality improvement, participate in team meetings, quality and audit activities, and comply with National Food Standards and National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Commercial Cooking.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a hospital, hotel, or aged care kitchen.
* Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations.
* Strong communication and team management skills.
* A commitment to excellence, hygiene, and patient service.
* Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable).
Remuneration
$40 per hour. All additional penalties are paid in accordance with the current enterprise agreement.

Additional Information
Applicants must provide a current National Police check, Working with Children Check, and evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Catering staff will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
