About the Role
The Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) Clinician will work in close collaboration with a Peer Worker and NSW Police to deliver rapid, person-centered mental health support directly in homes or preferred community settings. You will require advanced clinical expertise, sound judgment, and leadership in mental health and psychosocial assessment, safety planning, and brief interventions.
You will also provide senior clinical leadership and supervision, as well as input and advice regarding policy, practice, and service development to managers and staff. Your ability to exercise independent professional judgment, including advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, will ensure safe, high-level, and effective collaborative recovery-oriented service provision.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A relevant tertiary qualification such as Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Counselling, Nursing, or Psychology, and registration with the relevant professional body
* Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership with an understanding of and commitment to the principles and values of the peer workforce
* Proven advanced written, oral, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult, collaborate, and liaise effectively within a multidisciplinary team
