Electrician - Mining & Resources
Our client is a respected leader in the mining and resources sector, known for its strong safety culture, high-quality project delivery, and commitment to operational excellence. They are seeking several experienced Electricians to join their team working on a major Pilbara-based project, contributing to the successful installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Electricians to step into a dynamic project environment offering strong rates and the chance to work on a large-scale mining operation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Installing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical equipment, cabling, and infrastructure in accordance with drawings, specifications, and AS/NZS 3000.
* Conducting fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on LV systems, motors, switchboards, and control circuits to minimise downtime.
* Performing routine inspections, testing, and verification of electrical installations to statutory and site requirements.
* Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, plans, and work packs to plan and execute work safely and efficiently.
You'll work closely with site supervisors, project teams, and other trades, playing a key role in achieving project milestones while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Proven experience as an industrial, construction, or mining electrician, ideally within large-scale mining operations.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on LV plant and electrical equipment.
* A high regard for safety, compliance, and quality workmanship.
* The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while meeting project deadlines.
Essential Tickets & Qualifications
* Current WA Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
* Construction Induction Card (White Card)
* C Class Driver's Licence
* First Aid Certificate (within 3 years)
* LVR/CPR (within 12 months)
* 4WD Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to mobilisation
Experience with major mining site inductions and training requirements will be highly regarded, though support may be provided to complete these prior to mobilisation.
