Job Description
As a Disability Support Worker, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Providing personal care and daily living assistance to individuals with disability, promoting their independence and autonomy
* Assisting with daily routines, including bathing, shaving, and toileting, while maintaining a focus on dignity and respect
* Supporting clients with complex needs, using proactive and evidence-based strategies to promote positive behaviours and outcomes
* Implementing person-centred active support and behavioural support plans, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to changing client needs
You will also have opportunities to engage in community participation activities, supporting clients to develop new skills and connections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Hold an unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Demonstrated competency in basic technology usage, including mobile and desktop platforms
* A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 or willingness to obtain
* Committed to work flexibly throughout the week, including public holidays
