About the role
As a Heavy Vehicle (HV) Mechanic with IOR, you'll be part of our day team working 7:00 am–4:00 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts when required. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and servicing our fleet to ensure reliability, safety, and performance — helping us deliver on our promise to Keep Australia moving with IOR.
* Conduct repair, maintenance, and servicing to meet or exceed legislative standards, continually improving approaches to work and how we do things.
* Conduct detailed inspections and preventative maintenance
* Consistently strive towards a zero‑harm worksite and approach to work.
* Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure we meet tight timeframes of work.
* Electronic data entry for all vehicle service, maintenance, and repair records to NHVAS compliance standards.
About you
You're a qualified HV Mechanic with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork. You take pride in keeping vehicles running at their best and bring a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs. Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays, a commitment to high standards, and a passion for supporting a values‑driven business are key to your success in this role.
* Heavy Vehicle Mechanic trade certificate.
* Experience working on heavy vehicles including Kenworth, Volvo prime movers and rigids, and fuel tankers
* Previous experience working with fuel trailers will be advantageous.
* Valid driver's license (HR and MC license preferred).
