Role Description
This Part-time Social Media Director role will be a part of a close knit collaborative team, to work with them and to lead the strategy and delivery for one of the agency's long standing clients (15+ years with the agency).
You will be responsible for overseeing a very experienced but small agile team, the overarching aspects of social media marketing, the development and implementing of social media strategies, optimizing social media performance, and digital paid media. Day-to-day tasks include creating content strategies, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with the comms team to enhance brand presence. Please note the team is an extremely experienced and competent group made up of 2 x Senior AMs, a freelance designer and freelance paid media specialist, so this role is to guide & mentor, whilst ensuring the key client stakeholder(s) have a Senior strategic head in the team to consult with, and feel rest assured there is an experienced Senior Social Media Expert available to reach out too when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution to drive brand growth and business development
- Optimise processes and operations to enhance team efficiency and output
- Develop and implement integrated marketing plans across digital, social, activations, and events
- Manage campaigns and coordinate across our internal team, the freelancers, and external partners
- With the MD, continue to strengthen / maintain senior client relationships
- Provide expertise in digital, content, paid, and influencer marketing
- Share insights on industry trends, cultural shifts, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity
- Collaborate with creatives (photographers, videographers, designers) to deliver outstanding content
- Lead strategic planning including yearly digital strategy, brand positioning, new campaign rollouts, and paid media approaches
- Apply hands-on knowledge of social and digital paid media
- Continue to mentor and develop a talented, dynamic hands on team
Qualifications
- Experience in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
- Proven success & experience in a senior marketing and comms role from agency world
- Ability to develop and implement effective Content Strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret social media metrics
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Inspiring hands-on leader and team player
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media, or related field
