About the Role
We have an opportunity for a strategic and experienced Asset Information System (AIS) Engineer to join our Engineering and Maintenance Delivery Team. Reporting into the Asset Information System (AIS) Manager your role will play a pivotal part in managing the delivery, support, and operation of the Asset Information System (AIS) to ensure availability of timely and relevant information to support business operations and compliant execution of maintenance activity for all existing and new assets.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Support AIS system development with identification of AIS users and stakeholders, gathering and integration of their requirements into business needs, derive application functionality and data configuration requirements, liaise with AIS developers.
* Support AIS operations development with expert knowledge and support of asset registration, maintenance scope registration, work scheduling, work order processing, reporting and compliance auditing, user training and support.
* Identify where MTS have work systems gaps, escalate, and assist to develop and formalise the issue of AIS procedural instructions to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
* Liaise with MTS, external stakeholders, and maintenance service providers.
* Work with maintenance service providers in the delivery of preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance, including support the Principal Engineer in AIS implementation and reporting.
* Support functional configuration of the AIS to changing business needs including testing of new configuration to ensure all business requirements are met.
* Support with AIS financial, supply chain and commercial integration of maintenance work.
* Support with AIS scheduling of maintenance works.
* Working with the Principal Engineers to draft or update design drawings.
Desired Skills And Experience
About You
You possess extensive experience in AIS maintenance management, with a focus on heavy passenger rail infrastructure.
Additionally, you have a proven track record of working with Asset Information Systems, including maintaining central asset information repositories and managing configuration data.
Your background also demonstrates expertise in planning and executing maintenance tasks, as well as completing compliance reporting requirements.
You will also Possess.
* Recognised Graduate Degree in Engineering; OR
* Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering and Recognition of Prior Learning by an MTS accepted RTO, to a degree level equivalent qualification; OR
* Relevant professional qualifications or certification in maintenance planning, development and implementation of asset management strategies and systems, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, data analysis and asset management performance reporting.
* Knowledge or demonstrated experience in asset condition monitoring, trending, and predictive based monitoring.
* Experience in the development and issue of AIS procedural instructions.
* Knowledge of Ellipse EAM or equivalent asset management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP) is highly regarded.
