Your new role
Support our Wimmera programs to deliver a range of community and agency-initiated community development projects in support of the local needs of our community and funded programs.
A key aspect of this role is engaging the community in our Homes Based Care Programs, providing carer focussed, warm, responsive and accurate information to prospective carers and managing enquiries received through a range of enquiry channels.
The Community Engagement Officer will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be an experienced professional with considerable knowledge and experience in community engagement and advocacy.

Your skills and experience
You Will Bring With You
o Achieved or studying a relevant qualification in project management, community development or social services field preferred but not mandatory.
o Exceptional ability to engage and communicate to groups of people, tailoring communication to suit a specific target group or age range.
o Understanding of Cultural Safety and empathy for people with a diverse range of backgrounds- commitment to improving services for Consumers and Consumer rights.
