About The Role
The Network and Systems Engineer is a high performing engineering role encompassing people, program and stakeholder management responsibilities. This role works with a considerable degree of independence and under broad direction.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced Network and Systems Engineer, who has a wide range of experience and skills to support the ongoing delivery of these projects as well as ability to develop and maintain our network infrastructure services.
You will have a strong understanding of Security-first solutions and best working practices within the ICT environment. The Network and Systems Engineer will develop, manage, and maintain a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships and professional networks. This role will suit an individual who has a diverse Cisco networking background and has a willingness to develop core skill within the Microsoft Azure Cloud ecosystem related to networking services.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Strong technical knowledge and operational experience managing complex network infrastructure and services within a corporate or Government ICT context.
* Proven experience providing technical leadership within a team with a focus on the security, reliability, performance, sustainment and maintenance of network infrastructure and services.
* Proven results planning, managing and implementing ICT projects with an emphasis on delivering positive outcomes aligned with organisational priorities.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for leading a team and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement and innovation, including advocating best practice approaches and automation.
* Ability and willingness to adapt quickly to changing expectations and priorities by being agile and flexible.
