Job Title: Lifestyle Coordinator
**About the Job**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in developing, supporting, and coordinating recreation programs for residents that promote psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.
**Responsibilities**
• Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational activities for residents, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
• Facilitate resident involvement and engagement in the planning of programs, ensuring that everyone has a voice and is valued.
• Design activities with consideration of the residents culture, history, likes and preferences, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
• Motivate and encourage resident involvement in the advertised program, recognizing the importance of participation and inclusivity.
• Continuously assess the recreational needs of residents and set activities and document progress, ensuring that every resident receives high-quality care.
• Assist residents with their recreational needs in a way that respects their dignity and privacy, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Actively monitor and record changes in residents' care plans, communicating effectively with the care team to ensure seamless support.
• Maintain regular contact with the care team and communicate with other staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
**Requirements**
• Certificate III in Aged Care and/or Cert IV in Lifestyle and Leisure, with relevant experience in aged care or a related field.
• First Aid Certificate, with ongoing professional development in first aid and aged care practices.
• Demonstrated experience working with the aged and an understanding of aged-related conditions, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
• Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve excellent outcomes.
• Computer literate and experienced using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.), with strong organizational and time management skills.
• National NDIS Workers Screening Check, with a current and valid check prior to commencement.
