About the role
This role is part of our Friends Child Care Centre, reporting directly to the Director of Childcare. In this role you will support and lead children's learning and development, including designing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs and practices, including following and implementing an approved learning framework.
Friends Child Care is a community based, 39 place not- for-profit Childcare Centre, located on the grounds of St Vincent's Hospital, Lismore. Operating under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Church of the Diocese of Lismore. Our centre provides an exceptional early childhood program for children aged 6 months to school aged in a beautiful homelike environment. We are committed to providing a quality early learning program that fosters children's sense of wellbeing and personal confidence.
Our centre is rated as meeting all areas in the National Quality Standards Assessment. Friends Child Care is seeking to fill the following permanent (38 hours / week) position: Childcare Educator – Diploma
To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:
* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
* Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, with a diverse range of parents, carers and their children
* Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis training certificate
* You must have completed the child protection training - CHCPRT025 - Identify and report children and young people at risk
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Criminal History Check (NCHC)
* Previous experience working with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children would be highly regarded
* A demonstrated passion for innovative care and education
