Big Dog Builds is an award-winning Australian after‑sales modification shop. We're growing fast because we do quality work, we look after our people, and we treat customers the way we'd want to be treated. As we scale, we're adding a hands‑on Sales Support (Automotive) specialist to keep our pipeline moving and our sales team focused on high‑value conversations.


The Opportunity


This role is perfect for a high‑performing SDR/lead‑qualifier or customer‑focused coordinator who loves variety, follows through, and takes pride in tidy systems. You'll be the friendly first contact for inbound enquiries, keep our CRM clean, and line up great meetings for our sales reps — freeing up our leadership team to focus on growth.

Reporting to: Co‑Founder & Commercial Director

Works with: Sales & Marketing, Operations Leadership, Service/Workshop teams, and trusted external partners.

What you'll do

* Inbound response & qualification: Respond fast to inbound enquiries (phone, web, email) and qualify against clear criteria; capture notes and next steps in the CRM.
* Appointment setting & follow‑up: Book the right rep, send confirmations and reminders, manage reschedules, and work to maximise held rates.
* Pipeline hygiene (CRM): Keep lead statuses accurate, set next actions, deduplicate, and maintain complete contact/company records.
* Re‑engagement & outreach: Mine dormant leads and past quotes to re‑open conversations with friendly phone and email sequences.
* Frontline Q&A & triage: Handle common questions (availability, basic product info, indicative timelines) and route technical queries to the right specialist.
* Reporting & insights: Track response times, meetings set/held, and conversion to quote/order; share weekly insights and ideas to improve.
* Sales/marketing coordination: Collaborate on lead forms, email templates, and campaigns; relay voice‑of‑customer feedback.
* Data & admin support: Prepare simple quote shells/templates for reps when needed, attach documents to records, and keep calendars in sync.
* Events & promotions (occasional): Support open days or partner events (RSVPs, materials, post‑event follow‑up).

You won't own final pricing or close deals, provide technical fitment advice beyond approved scripts, or move company funds. You'll set great meetings, keep the pipeline clean, and help reps focus on high‑value conversations.

What you'll bring

* 1–3 years' experience in sales support, SDR, appointment-setting, or customer service, with strong phone skills; experience in automotive or trades environments is a plus.
* Confident phone manner and crisp written communication.
* Organised, reliable follow‑through; you love tidy systems and closing the loop.
* CRM competence (Pipedrive, HubSpot, or similar) and Google/Microsoft basics.
* Comfortable with targets/KPIs and basic reporting.

Bonus points for: knowledge of aftermarket/customisation; experience building call/email sequences; calendar management across multiple reps.
