Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is looking for reliable and motivated Cook and Housekeeper to join our team in Apmere Mwerre Visitor Park, Alice Springs NT and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our facilities and hostels.
Both the Cook and Housekeeper positions are rostered daytime shifts only, working Monday to Friday each week

The key duties of the position include:
Key Responsibilities: Cook(Part-time)
The Cook position is an ongoing or non-ongoing part-time position, working 60 hours per fortnight. The rostered working days will be Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 1:30pm.
* Preparing and serving meals in accordance with AHL's set menus.
* Maintaining compliance with Food Safety Standards and other relevant legislation.
* Assisting with food ordering, receive and monitor food and kitchen supplies.
* Cleaning and maintaining kitchen and kitchen equipment.
* Preparing the dining room for meal times and clean up afterwards
Key Responsibilities: Housekeeper(Part-time)
The Housekeeper position is an ongoing or non-ongoing part-time position, working 60 hours per fortnight. The rostered working days will be Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 2:30pm.
* Ensuring all areas at our hostel are clean, safe, and hygienic for residents and staff.
* Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms and communal areas such as kitchens and bathrooms
* Completing laundry tasks
* Handling cleaning supplies and equipment carefully and follow safety guidelines.
* Assisting with other general maintenance tasks as needed.
Eligibility
* provide evidence of Australian Citizenship;
* undergo a satisfactory National Criminal History Check; (prior to engagement)
* meet Fitness for Duty requirements; (prior to engagement)
* hold or obtain relevant qualifications.

What We Offer:
* Competitive Pay & Benefits: $59,520 - $64,877 per annum (pro-rated for part-time). You'll receive 15.4% superannuation, and generous leave entitlements to make sure you're well looked after.
* Remote Locality Allowance: Employees are entitled to the payment of $6,529/annum with eligible dependants or $3,596/annum without eligible dependants.
* Generous shift penalties apply for work after hours, weekends and public holidays.
