We are seeking a Staff Specialist in General Medicine to deliver high‐quality, patient‐centred care across Murwillumbah District Hospital and Tweed Valley Hospital. The role operates on a unique rotational model, providing clinical variety in both a regional hospital setting and a state‐of‐the‐art tertiary facility.
You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and service development. Responsibilities include:
* Provide quality general medicine services across both hospitals.
* Participate in quality improvement, education, and subspecialty activities aligned to service needs.
* Respond to on‐call roster and emergency duties as required.
* Lead and mentor junior staff as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician, or qualified under an appropriate international pathway.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine at the required service level.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in on‐call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time.
