About the Role

We're looking for a driven and ambitious Assistant Development Manager to support our development team. Your role is critical in the successful delivery of boutique luxury projects, end‐to‐end.

This role suits someone who is hungry to learn every aspect of development and construction, has a strong work ethic, and thrives in a fast‐paced environment. You'll be hands‐on, take ownership, and have a direct impact on outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcquisitions
* Assist in conducting due diligence on potential acquisitions. Support coordination of acquisition processes.
Town Planning / Approvals
* Assist in managing development applications and liaising with planning authorities.
* Support compliance with local, state, and national regulations. Work closely with planning consultants and government agencies.
Project Design
* Work with architects and designers to progress development concepts.
* Ensure designs align with project goals and target market expectations.
* Support the coordination of design approvals and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in managing external consultants, including engineers, architects, and planners.
* Facilitate communication between consultants and internal teams.
* Ensure consultant deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
* Assist in preparing sales strategies, branding, and marketing materials. Coordinate the execution of sales launches and marketing events.
* Support pricing strategies and market positioning of projects.
* Work closely with external sales agents to drive successful project sales.
* Support in‐house sales strategies and client engagement.
* Assist in managing customer inquiries and pre‐sales processes.
Construction Interface / Delivery Support
* Work alongside the construction team to understand project execution. Assist in monitoring project timelines, budgets, and quality control.
* Support problem‐solving and issue resolution during construction.
Feasibility, Budgeting & Financing
* Assist in the preparation and review of feasibility studies.
* Support financial analysis and cost management for projects.
* Collaborate on funding strategies and project financing structures.
Project Completion, Settlements & Defects
* Assist in final project handovers and completion documentation. Support purchaser communications and settlement processes.
* Work with internal teams to ensure smooth post‐settlement transitions.
Mixed Use / Retail Exposure
* Gain exposure to retail and commercial property management. Assist in lease negotiations and tenant coordination.
* Support the long‐term asset management of mixed‐use developments.
The Successful Candidate
* Background in architecture, interior design, property development, construction, or related discipline (1–2 years' experience favourable).
* A strong sense of design and documentation favourable
* High initiative, organised, and accountable – you follow through.
* Strong communicator who works well with consultants, agents, and internal teams.
* Experience with Bluebeam, Indesign or other design software favourable.
* A problem solver who wants to become an elite Development Manager and understands that quality matters.
