Pay: From$40+ per hour (negotiable for the right candidate)
A warm, fun-loving family in Double Bay, Sydney are seeking an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their 1-year-old son. They do not have family close by so are hoping to find someone who feels like an extension of their family.
Days & Hours
* Tues, Wed and Thurs
* Hours: 7/8am – 5/6pm
Some flexibility on the days of the week for the right candidate
Extra hours on offer occasionally
Important to Note
The little boy has allergies (including anaphylaxis to nuts) and seasonal asthma. We require someone confident, calm, and experienced in managing these health needs. The family will provide an allergy action plan and ensure you feel fully supported.
Responsibilities
* Caring for and playing with the little boy throughout the day
* Following his daily routine and supporting healthy sleep
* Planning and leading age-appropriate developmental activities
* Creating a language-rich environment through talking, reading, and play
* Outings to the park, playground, or walks
* Preparing and cooking healthy, allergy-safe snacks and meals
* Assisting with laundry and light household tasks related to the baby
* Maintaining safe, hygienic practices (handwashing, food prep, toys, etc.)
* Occasionally running small errands
About You
You are engaging, kind, and playful, with a genuine love for supporting babies' growth and development. You bring warmth, energy, and creativity to your role, and have strong experience caring for young children.
Requirements
* 5+ years' experience as a nanny or in childcare
* Experience with young babies/toddlers
* Confident in managing allergies and asthma (training in anaphylaxis/EpiPen ideal)
* Knowledge of safe sleep and child safety practices
* Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Current Working With Children Check
* Strong communication skills (daily updates, openness to feedback)
