Orange Rentals is a national consumer leasing provider assisting customers across Australia to access essential household items. We are currently seeking an experienced Casual Debt Collector to join our team.
This role is focused on consumer collections only (no business-to-business accounts). You will be engaging with customers from diverse backgrounds, requiring empathy, professionalism and strong negotiation skills.

Key responsibilities
* Making outbound and inbound collections calls
* Negotiating sustainable repayment arrangements
* Managing arrears on consumer lease agreements
* Updating customer records accurately
* Working within internal policies and procedures
* Achieving collection targets while maintaining professionalism
* Ensuring all interactions are compliant and ethical
Compliance & regulatory responsibilities
* Adhering to NCCP Act, ASIC guidelines and hardship provisions
* Conducting collections in line with ACCC/ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines
* Assessing hardship situations and offering suitable solutions
* Maintaining confidentiality and data privacy at all times
* Ensuring fair & respectful communication
* Accurate record keeping for audit and compliance purposes
Essential requirements
* Proven experience in consumer debt collection (not business collections)
* Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
* Excellent phone manner and communication
* High attention to detail and compliance awareness
* Ability to attend 2 days in-person training in Maddington
* Must be based in Western Australia
* Reliable internet and quiet home workspace
Desirable
* Experience in consumer leasing, finance or payday lending
* Understanding of NCCP and hardship frameworks
* CRM system experience
* Self-motivated and target-driven
