Mama Kaz is a well-established bakery business known for its wholesome, low-fat banana breads, muffins, cakes, and other baked goods made from all-natural ingredients. Mama Kaz is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for baking a variety of our signature loaves, muffins, cakes, and more. You'll play a key part in maintaining product quality and consistency, helping to meet our production targets, and ensuring food safety standards.
As a baker, your duties and responsibilities will be, but not limited to, the following.
* Measuring and combining ingredients and other equipment to make baked goods, such as bread, cakes, etc.
* Prepare dough and batters for banana breads, muffins, cakes, and other bakery products
* Maintain proper portion control, weighing, and measuring of ingredients.
* Place muffin mix in moulds, and bake in production ovens or on racks.
* Observe the colour of products being baked and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, or conveyor speeds accordingly
* Inspect food products
* Adjust temperature controls of ovens and heating equipment
* Prepare or maintain production records according to SQF
* Record operational or production data according to SQF
* Ensuring your workstation is clean and restocking it, and ensuring that all equipment is sanitised and prepared for the next shift.
* Check products for quality and identify damaged or expired goods
* Evaluate the quality of food ingredients or prepared foods
* Operating the muffin depositor machine
* Present production report to management upon completion of every shift
* Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary.
* Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
* Clean production equipment.
* Maintain production or processing equipment
* Ensuring raw materials are readily available or notifying the warehouse manager of what is required
Other Requirement:
* At least Certificate III in a related field
* Minimum one year of experience within a similar role
* Knowledge of HACCP & Food industry QA requirements essential
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Being flexible to work a 6-day shift over the span of our operation is essential

Pay: $76,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
