Gogolanyngor Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC is the Prescribed Body Corporate representing the Jabirr Jabirr/Ngumbarl people of the southwestern coastal region of the Dampier Peninsula. We are dedicated to protecting, advancing and managing our determined land and the interest of Traditional Owners by delivering economic, social, cultural, environmental and community outcomes for Jabirr Jabirr/Ngumbarl people. Our work is deeply rooted in cultural respect, advocacy, and securing the future of our members.

RANGER (Junior)
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Junior Rangers to join our team and support the protection, restoration, and care of our local natural and cultural landscapes. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the environment, enjoy working outdoors, and are keen to build practical skills in land management and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with on-country fieldwork, including habitat restoration, weed management, and biodiversity monitoring.
* Support cultural site care activities under guidance from senior staff and Traditional Owners (if relevant).
* Help maintain walking trails, visitor areas, and signage.
* Participate in wildlife and environmental surveys.
* Contribute to community engagement and education events when required.
* Follow all safety procedures and work as part of a supportive team.
Selection Criteria
* Interest in caring for country/environmental conservation.
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
* Enjoy working outdoors in variable conditions.
* Ability to work respectfully in a team environment.
* Good communication skills and reliability.
* Experience with outdoor work, and environmental programs.
* Understanding of local ecosystems and cultural landscapes.
* Current driver's licence (or working towards one).
Qualifications
* Applicants must hold a current qualification in:
* Conservation and Land Management (Cert I-III)
* GPS, drones, and digital monitoring tools
This is a full-time position based in Broome. Competitive remuneration is provided commensurate with experience.
