We are currently looking for experienced Track Execution Supervisors (Civil) to start immediately. The works will be based in Port Hedland on either 2/1 or 11/10 FIFO roster.
Within the Rail Network department, the Track Renewals team is responsible for executing large-scale capital and operation expenditure track works including Re Rail, Track Renewal/Reconstruction, turnout and cross over renewal, rail stress management and rail civil works.
Within this team, the civil supervisors are responsible for planning and supervising the execution of civils activities that incorporate the larger track renewal works. This includes site preparation (land clearing, ramp, pads and laydown construction, drain clearing etc), material deliveries and setup (ballast, sleepers, capping material, soil etc), track deconstruction (spoil removal and relocation) and formation repair and handover.
Purpose:
* Supervise and manage the safe execution of track renewals execution civil work activities.
* Develop civil works methodologies to improve safety and efficiency, and to reduce cost.
* Develop and sustain a strong safety and collaborative culture in the track renewals team.
* Supporting the Project Manager in project delivery, ensuring works are constructed to contract requirements and timelines.
* Qualifications:
* Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent.
* Leadership experience in civil rail works supervision.
* Certificate III in rail Infrastructure (desirable or be able to complete).
* Certificate III in civil construction (highly desirable)
* Operate & Maintain 4WD (highly desirable)
* BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs (desirable)
* BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management (desirable)
* Skills:
* Supervisory experience in general earthworks, ramps, laydowns, drainage, road maintenance (supervision of railway formation construction/preparation skills desirable).
* Good communication, interpersonal and people management skills with a range of audiences.
* Computer literacy with Microsoft suite, 1SAP and planning systems.
* Good planning skills and the ability to oversee projects to successful completion.
* Administration and prioritisation including time management capability.
* Competent in reading detailed plans and elevations.
* Sound judgement including balancing competing
* Experience:
* Demonstrated experience in leading workgroups and contractors to complete civil works (experience with track civil works desirable).
* Risk management in civil works (track civil works desirable).
* Sound knowledge of Railroad Operating Rules and industry standards (safety and quality).
Civil earthworks;
o Trenching (low voltage/fibre optic),
o Asphalting (particularly road approaches up to and including level crossings),
o Level crossing construction (STRAIL and JD types),
o Culvert installation,
o Use of geotextiles,
