Your opportunity
The Senior Information Access Officer is responsible for the high-level support and processing of applications for information within the Information Access Unit, in accordance with relevant legislation and policies across Mackay HHS. The position is a delegated back-up Decision Maker under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and is a key contact for applications to Mackay HHS for access to information.

The Health Information Service provides specialist services that embrace the overall commitment to the management and provision of quality patient information to the Mackay HHS. The service is comprised of the following key areas: Health Information Management, Clinical Coding, Data Quality, Information Access, Scanning Unit, Medical Typing, Corporate Records, Mail Room and the Switchboard.
