Second Skin is a well-established, Australian owned, Perth based company designing and manufacturing innovative custom-made medical garments for clients with burns and trauma injuries, excessive swelling, and disabilities in Australia, Current Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland.
We are looking for an experienced full-time production team member based in our Production Team as a Sewing Machinist for an immediate start.
Permanent residency status is required for this position.
This position is open to someone experienced in the fashion or tailoring industry and ready for a new and challenging direction.

Responsibilities
Sew together the complete medical garment or splint, inclusive of notions
To be able to read and follow a Tech Pack/Design sheet
Apply basic quality control to the complete garment or splint to ensure it matches tech pack and pattern instructions
Work and communicate with other members of the Production and Design teams
Plan and organise your daily work schedule
Carry out basic maintenance, clean and oil machines, identify and correct minor equipment/machine faults
Education and Qualifications
You will be tertiary qualified in Fashion Design or have comparable training in this area.
TAFE sewing course qualifications will be considered as comparable training to Fashion Design tertiary qualification.
Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in the industry
Experience with both industrial and domestic sewing machines is required
Excellent attention to detail
Able to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
Strong conceptual skills and able to be flexible within your team
Computer literacy highly regarded
Spoken and written English is a must
