Join the Team at Marrickville Bowlo as a Duty Manager
The Marrickville Bowling Club, a vibrant live music venue and iconic destination for barefoot bowling in Sydney's Inner West, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team.
As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the venue while providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality service standards across all areas of the venue.
* Supervise and lead the bar team to deliver exceptional service and a smooth guest experience.
* Manage the venue's compliance with liquor licensing laws, ensuring RSA, RCG and ARCG standards are maintained.
* Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere.
* Assist in the coordination and execution of live music events, barefoot bowling, and other activities.
* Manage cash handling, and ensure a clean, well-organized venue.
Requirements
* Proven leadership experience in a bar, hospitality, or venue management role.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and lead a diverse team and interact with customers.
* Professional appearance and flexible availability for shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Valid NSW RSA and RCG certificates.
* Current National Police Check.
* Experience with live music venues and/or barefoot bowling is a plus.
Details
Start Date: immediate
Hours: 30-38 hours per week
Pay Rates: Competitive rates, higher than typical pub pay:
* Monday to Friday: $37/hr
* Saturday: $44/hr
* Sunday: $52/hr
