About the role
Tassie Fine Foods PTY LTD is a proud supplier of packaged meat to many of Melbourne's top food establishments.
With consistent growth, we are now looking to employ additional staff with skills in Butchery, Knife Handling, and Labouring to join our team in Pakenham, VIC.
This is a full-time position on the afternoon shift, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our food production operations.
Afternoon Shift Hours
3pm - 11pm
What you'll be doing
1. Perform butchery tasks such as cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products
2. Operate machinery and equipment required for portion cutting, food production and packing
3. Assist with general labouring and packing duties to support the overall production process
4. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with our Food Safety Program and OH&S standards
5. Contribute to a collaborative team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed
What we're looking for
1. Experience in a similar food production role, preferably with a Food Safety background
2. Demonstrated proficiency in using knives and other food production equipment
3. A quick learner with a genuine desire to find secure, ongoing work
4. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a refrigerated and fast-paced environment
5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
6. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
