**About This Opportunity**We are seeking an experienced and motivated Administrative Officer to join our team in a job share arrangement. This is a fixed-term opportunity (3 days per week), providing high-level administrative support to the School's Discipline Convenors and Academic Staff.This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, contributing to the effective delivery of key academic and administrative functions.Key responsibilities will include:* Provide high-level administrative support, ensuring professionalism, confidentiality, and timely responses via the shared inbox.* Coordinate the School's guest speaker series, including travel, accommodation, catering, and providing policy advice on hospitality and travel.* Manage financial administration, including reimbursements and expenses, in line with University policies and procedures.* Maintain efficient systems and processes, including electronic filing, reporting, intranet updates, newsletters, and coordination of meetings and team activities.This is a part-time (60%), fixed-term position for up to 6 months HEW Level 5.**About You**We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong administrative, coordination and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:* Relevant qualifications or equivalent administrative experience, with a strong understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) UQ Travel and Hospitality systems and guidelines* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach* Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems, with the ability to quickly learn University processes and platforms* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, with high attention to detailAppointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, criminal history checks, and other role-specific requirements.
