Residential Solar & Battery Systems

Location: Sydney, NSW

About the Role

We are looking for a Chinese–English bilingual Customer Service Technical Engineer to support our residential solar and battery customers. This role combines technical problem-solving with customer service, helping homeowners understand and resolve issues related to their solar PV and battery systems.

The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical engineering or renewable energy and be comfortable communicating technical information clearly in both English and Chinese.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical customer support in both English and Chinese via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
* Troubleshoot issues related to solar panels, inverters, battery systems, and monitoring platforms.
* Analyse system performance data and identify potential faults or performance issues.
* Assist customers in understanding system operation, energy production, and monitoring apps.
* Coordinate with installers, electricians, and technical teams to resolve system issues.
* Escalate complex technical problems to engineering or product teams when required.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical cases in the CRM system.
* Provide internal support to the sales and operations teams regarding technical questions.

Requirements

* Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
* Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical customers.
* Ability to manage multiple cases and respond to customers in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the solar PV or battery storage industry.
* Familiarity with solar inverters, hybrid systems, and energy storage technologies.
* Experience using solar monitoring platforms or inverter portals.
* Knowledge of Australian electrical standards or solar compliance.
* Previous experience in technical support or engineering support roles.
