We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team at Expert Rennovation Group. The successful applicant will work across various residential and commercial renovation projects throughout the Central Coast and Newcastle region. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry work, ensuring all projects meet safety, design, and structural standards.
What you'll be doing
* Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
* Select, order, and prepare timbers and other building materials.
* Cut, assemble, and nail shaped parts to create frameworks and structural fittings.
* Construct and erect walls, subflooring, roof framing, and floorboards, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
* Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, wall cladding, and window and door frames.
* Assemble prefabricated wood structures and fittings ready for installation.
* Perform precision cutting of wood joints.
* Construct and repair concrete formwork and other timber-based fittings as required.
* Work with a variety of materials, including wood, plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals.
* Conduct maintenance and repair work on existing structures as needed.
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 1 year relevant carpentry experience.
* Formal qualification in Carpentry or a related field (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent).
* Proven ability to work from plans, use hand and power tools safely, and complete work to a high standard.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
* Ability to travel to different job sites within the Central Coast and Newcastle area.
* Valid driver's licence preferred.
