Geostatistical Consultant Role

This role involves working on advanced geostatistical modeling projects, including designing and executing bespoke workflows for deposit-specific features and challenges. It requires collaborating with a multi-disciplinary consulting team and delivering customer training programs.

* Key responsibilities include working on resource model estimation and uncertainty studies in a consulting capacity, providing guidance on the Resource Modeling Solutions Platform (RMSP), and supporting users of the platform.
* The role also involves providing remote or in-person short course industry training on practical geostatistical methodologies and resource modeling, as well as engaging in business development through product demonstrations and attending conferences.
* In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Geologist/Geostatistician will supervise and mentor junior consulting staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* A minimum of 8 years of experience working as a geologist, resource geologist, or geostatistician in the mining industry.
* 5+ years of experience in resource modeling, including conventional estimation and simulation, preferably with modern techniques such as domain simulation.
* 2+ years of experience applying Python programming to resource modeling.
* Prior experience with RMSP and postgraduate studies in geostatistics are preferred qualifications.
