Job Title: Service Technician 2
Location & Employment: Based in Dandenong South, VIC. Permanent, full‐time role.
Overview
Supports the maintenance and reliability of advanced automated logistics systems within a site‐based residential service environment. Works on cutting‐edge automation technology alongside a collaborative local and global engineering network, contributing directly to system availability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Schedule
Rotating roster 4 days on / 4 days off (2 × 12‐hour day shifts, 2 × 12‐hour night shifts).
Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive mechanical maintenance on automated logistics systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults across conveyors, cranes, robotic systems, and AGVs.
* Work closely with onsite automation specialists and operators to maximise system uptime.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
* Support daily operational activities including system flow control and general operator tasks when required.
* Actively uphold and promote a strong safety‐first culture across all activities.
Qualifications
* Trade‐based qualification with strong mechanical aptitude.
* Experience working with industrial automation and an understanding of industrial controls (PLC, VFD, HMI exposure advantageous).
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital maintenance systems.
* Physically fit, able to work at heights, and adaptable to a rotating shift setting.
* Motivated, reliable team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety.
* Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship is required.
