The Data Interoperability role plays a pivotal part in facilitating the integration and interoperability of data across Defence and with Coalition stakeholders. This position develops and provides expert advice on integration designs to meet interoperability requirements, engaging with stakeholders on complex business needs.
The role exercises significant influence on data outcomes within Data Division and across Defence. It is a key role in supporting Defence to realise data and analytics priorities.
About Our Organisation
The Directorate of Data and Information Architecture is responsible for realising the One Defence Data Platform and data capabilities that enable Defence to achieve its strategic objectives.
* This team is primarily focused on driving transformational change as a result of the One Defence Data Capability.
* They transition from traditional, often siloed, data warehousing to a modern federated data platform where data products are discoverable and readily shared across the Department.
This is a challenging and dynamic role requiring excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, technical knowledge of contemporary technologies, and experience in applying risk management practices.
* This role has applied knowledge of international standards including military specific requirements.
* Knowledge of data modelling practices and demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with other data professionals and business stakeholders to support and drive agile behaviours within a large and diverse program of works.
