The UTS Lifetime Learner Experience Unit is currently recruiting for a Ceremonies and Events Officer. This role is part of a team that is responsible for the delivery of high quality graduation experiences. Graduations are high profile university events that are integral to the university community.
- responding to escalated student and staff enquires regarding graduation;
- collating student information from student systems and reports to prepare for graduations including registration, attendance and gowning etc; providing data for reports, programs, event run sheets etc;
- communicating with service providers and suppliers such as internal marketing unit, external regalia supplier, printers, photographers, AV technicians etc;
- ordering supplies, managing stock levels of academic regalia and invoicing;
- on ceremony days: briefing staff, greeting students and guests, preparing the hall for ceremonies, ushering large crowds, managing flow of ceremony; and
- contributing to operational improvements.
**To be successful in this role you will**:
- Experience with student enquiries and familiarity with student administration and/or event systems
- Be naturally organised with high attention to detail;
- Have excellent communication skills - verbal and written;
- Commitment to excellence in customer service;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy work environment.
**Remuneration**
**Base Salary Range: $73,949 to $84,598 pa (HEW 5)**
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is a full-time continuing appointment. We are open to filling this role as a job-share arrangement - two positions with each person 2.5 days per week, with salary and benefits pro-rata.
