Farm Foods is a Geelong based food manufacturing business, specialising in valued added meat products. (eg Sausages, Hamburgers, Meatballs & Kebabs etc) From humble origins back in 2003 the business commenced as a butcher shop in the small country town of Birregurra. Now some 20 years later, the business has grown to become one of Australia’s leading meat manufacturers of private label products to Australia's major supermarkets.
About the Role:
Reporting to the QA Manager, this position performs a variety of Quality Control tests and inspections at regular frequencies, provides feedback to production staff to help drive production and maintain food safety and quality.
The role requires a hands-on and energetic person with a high level of organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
This is a permanent full-time position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Conduct QC line verification activities on semi finished and finished products
* Conduct QC tests on finished products and report any deviations within specified timeframes.
* Report Food Safety and Quality in process non-conformances to QA department.
* Report outcomes within specified timeframes and ensure nonconforming product is quarantined.
* Maintain QC records to provide objective evidence that product conforms to the appropriate requirements.

The successful applicant will have an eye for detail, ability and experience with manufacturing QC activities.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
* Ability to adapt to change and work to given instructions.
* Comfortability with hands-on work in a fast-paced environment
* Good computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite, e-mails
* Good numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
* QC experience and industry knowledge is preferred.
