We're growing rapidly across Australia and New Zealand, and we're looking for a Consulting Director who brings both strategic vision and human-centred leadership. Someone who can connect the dots between business needs, technology, and people—and who thrives in collaborative, purpose-driven environments.
This is a senior role that blends consulting expertise, commercial acumen, and team leadership. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to shape transformation roadmaps, guide delivery, and position Datacom as a thought leader in your area of specialisation. You'll also play a key role in growing our consulting presence in Australia, building on our mature capability in New Zealand and our strong managed services and SI footprint.
What You'll Be Doing
* Helping clients define strategic goals and build compelling business cases for change
* Leading workshops, coaching sessions, and consulting engagements that deliver measurable value
* Supporting delivery teams to ensure solutions align with outcomes and are backed by the right people and processes
* Contributing to major sales proposals and bids with clarity and insight
* Publishing thought leadership that showcases Datacom's expertise and builds market credibility
* Managing and mentoring a diverse team of consultants within your practice area
* Owning revenue targets and delivery KPIs, with a focus on quality, collaboration, and efficiency
* Helping modernise our consulting offerings through innovation and the use of AI
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with deep consulting experience and a strong grasp of business strategy. You'll be confident in the room, credible with clients, and collaborative with teams. You'll need:
* At least 10 years in consulting or a relevant specialism (Agile, IT Strategy, Technology Advisory, Digital Strategy, customer experience, etc.)
* Proven ability to lead strategic conversations and translate them into actionable plans
* Strong financial and commercial awareness
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills
* A track record of delivering transformation programmes
