The Role
The Buyer Role is a key role in the business that ensures all materials arrive on site to meet production requirements in a cost effective and timely manner, as the Raw Materials buyer you will take the lead on this function by working In collaboration with stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow of operations, you can expect to do this by:
Ensuring the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) process is represented accurately within SAP
Generating Vendor schedule for all materials to be purchased on site
Negotiating with Vendor expected delivery timings
Maintaining and generating Purchase Orders accurately and managing the Purchase Order process
Notifying early any long term material constraints highlighting potential solutions, including notifying planners of shortfalls to ensure a feasible Production Plan is in place
Attend Key Supplier Reviews
Undertake continuous improvement opportunities.
Participate in the Slow and Obsolete stock (SLOB) Management

About You
We are looking for someone who has strong analytical skills and wants the opportunity to work independently but with the support of a team. We are in the unique position to offer training for someone looking to start their career as a Buyer, however knowledge of supply chain processes and the FMCG industry is essential for your success.
This role will heavily utilise SAP so experience with this or a similar system will be highly regarded.
