Starting salary: £13,802 (actual per annum)
Hours of work: 21.75 hours per week / 38 weeks per year
Working pattern: Days to be confirmed with successful applicant, hours 08.00am – 15.50pm

Due to the retirement of the current post-holder Claydon High School is seeking an enthusiastic and organised librarian to lead and develop our library as a vibrant reading and learning hub at the heart of the school. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love of reading, provide crucial support for student learning and work closely with staff to enhance the curriculum.
You will play a central role in supporting our students to 'be the best they can be'. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with a keen eye for detail and knowledge of children's literature, helping our students make the most of the library as a resource to them.
Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. We are a small school with 767 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school. As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve "excellence through collaboration".
